My kind of girl: From the Weiner Dialogues:

to get us in the mood. first we watch back to back episodes of the daily show and colbert report…then, to really spice things up we go deface all of my neighbor’s sharon angle yard signs…then we are really hot we go to the bookstore and cover all of the glen beck books with copies of “the audacity of hope!”…i do this about once a week (you can tell i am a very exciting girl!)…or if this is not your thing, we can just get drunk and have mad, passionate sex!

why choose? with me behind you can’t we both watch daily show?

Hhaha! see…you are always thinking! you are so right…aahhh the perfect liberal evening!

Do they make neoliberal women like this? It’s suprisingly hard to imagine:

To get us in the mood, first we watch old episodes of Crossfire, back when Michael Kinsley was “on the left.” Then we go next door and put up some old Babbitt posters. Then it’s down to the bookstore and replace all copies of “The Audacity of Hope” with Elaine Kamarck’s “The End of Government As We Know It” no that’s not in stock “How Washington Really Works” by Charles Peters not in brick and mortar stores Gregg Easterbrook’s “This Magic Moment” … oh I give up. Let’s just get drunk and start triangulating.

You see the problem. There are plenty of votes in neoliberalism. But there’s never been much cultural space for neoliberals. The left has MSNBC. The right has Fox. The left has Michael Moore. The right has Atlas Shrugged. We have …**

P.S.: The true sordid heart of Washington sexuality was best captured years ago in an intimate tape-recorded conversation between Sen. Don Riegle and an aide:

I–I–God, I feel such a super love for you.

By the way, the newsletter should start arriving.
