President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner whacked political differences aside on Saturday by teaming up for a “golf summit,” where the two leaders dueled against Vice President Biden and Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich in a competition at the golf course on Andrews Air Force Base. The president and speaker of the house won the game, but could this victory improve party relations?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney seems to think the dynamic duo made a solid move by combining forces on the golf course. “It may move you a little bit closer toward the kind of compromise that we need to get the things done that the American people expect us to get done,” Carney said in a statement. “If it takes a few hours out on the golf course to help that process, I think it’s a worthwhile thing to do.”
