The Daily Caller’s Senior Editor Jamie Weinstein sat down with New York Times conservative columnist David Brooks Tuesday at the Times’ Washington, D.C. bureau.
In this first excerpt of the wide-ranging interview, Brooks discusses his views on the Tea Party, whether the GOP is turning inward on foreign affairs, and what he thinks liberals have learned in the Age of Obama.
Brooks also discusses his Monday column, which has sparked outrage amongst some on the right for stating that the Republican Party is no longer a normal party and that the Democratic Party has been more serious in the recent negotiations over raising the debt ceiling.
Check back Thursday for more of the interview.
