Star of the “Harry Potter” franchise Daniel Radcliffe cried after filming his last scene as the title character in the series.

In an interview with Larry King, set to air Sunday, Radcliffe described the ending of the series as “very strange, considering we’ve done it for 10 years.” Radcliffe, almost 22, began his role as Harry Potter at age 11.

The ending of the series was emotional for Radcliffe, who told King “I kind of wept like a child on that last day.”

The star is confident this last film will be the best of the series. CNN reported that he told King, “I think in this film we find the balance best between the emotional side of the films and the action-packed adventure, exciting side.”

Also interviewed for “A Larry King Special — Harry Potter: The Final Chapter,” was Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger. Watson described the ending of the series as “bittersweet.”

“I was 9 years old, you know. I was still losing teeth, if that puts it in perspective. I was still losing baby teeth,” Watson told King.

The last installment of the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” is set to hit theaters July 15.
