Taylor Momsen is only 17-years-old, but she’s had more scandals and controversies than most veteran rockstars. The actress-turned-singer is embracing her teenage angst years, and raising eyebrows around the world in the process.
Momsen, who first broke into the spotlight in 2000 as the adorable Cindy Lou Who in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” gained worldwide fame after landing a role in the hit CW series “Gossip Girl.” After rumors surfaced of the actress’ poor behavior on set, producers announced that her character would be taking an indefinite hiatus from the show in 2011.
The actress’ latest endeavor, singing in the rock band The Pretty Reckless has also had its fair share of controversy. Last month, the wild child performed in the U.K. wearing a cut-up t-shirt that exposed her breasts. And most recently, Momsen put on an x-rated performance in Barcelona that included giving lap dances to fans and groping half-dressed dancers on stage.
