Although some people would deny taking politically motivated pleasure from News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch’s turmoil, Lifetime reality show personality Roseanne Barr isn’t shying away from expressing her elation.

In an appearance on E! network’s “Chelsea Lately,” Barr told host Chelsea Handler she was glad to see Murdoch suffering because she claimed he made her one of his early targets.

“And I have to say, Chelsea, I’m so happy to see Rupert Murdoch’s stuff crumbling, because when he came to our country, I was one of his first targets,” Barr said. “And he tapped my phones, and people went through my garbage and all that kind of stuff does kind of drive you crazy.”

Although Barr wasn’t specific about that incident involving Murdoch, she was the focus of many tabloid publications, which even led to her filing suit against the Enquirer in the early 1990s.
