The Hill’s ’50 Most Beautiful People for 2011′ rewritten [SLIDESHOW]

The Hill has published its “50 Most Beautiful People for 2011” list, including congressional staffers, journalists and even a few members of Congress.

Each profile includes a photograph or two, his or her political party, age and relationship status and a short write-up — though some “beautiful people,” including Rep. Marco Rubio, No. 23, declined interview requests.

Overall, Republicans come out on top: Of the 50 Washingtonians who made the cut 26 identify as Republicans.  Additionally there are 16 Democrats, 3 Nonpartisans, 2 Independents, 1 Centrist, 1 “Not Republican,” and 1 “GOProud Conservative.”

  • This Midwesterner is the press secretary for Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) (who also made the list at No. 31) and engaged to a fellow staffer who she met playing congressional softball; The Hill put her at  No. 33.
  • The Hill's No. 1 choice is the legislative correspondent for Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).
  • Coming in at No. 25 on The Hill's list, this staffer who is from Puerto Rico interned in Rep. Nancy Pelosi's office before landing her current job as Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi’s (D-Puerto Rico) scheduler.
  • This Arizonan is a staffer in Rep. David Schweikert's (R-Ariz.) office; she was No. 29 on The Hill's list
  • Jenna Gibson, a Fox News producer, ranked No. 4 on The Hill's list.
