American Crossroads dunks on Obama in new video

It’s no secret that President Barack Obama loves basketball. But now it’s just another way for cagey conservative groups to continue their full-court press on the administration’s economic policies.

American Crossroads, the super PAC co-founded by Karl Rove, released a new video Friday that slams the president for his position on the unpleasant U.S. job market. The video, “Pivot,” picks up on Obama’s current promise to now “pivot” and focus his efforts on the jobs. According to some, it’s an “eternal pivot” — something Democrats have been saying since 2009.

This buzzword is all over the new video. It also features Vice President Joe Biden posting up for an assist with his 2010 “Recovery Summer” remarks, a shot on which Republicans have yelled “Brick!

The latest Department of Labor figures have the national jobless rate at 9.1 percent. It’s a tiny bit lower than expected, but some experts fear a second recession is on the way.
