Kate Gosselin could only make it on her own for so long.

The current season of Kate Plus 8, which premiered last week, will be its last, TLC announced Monday.

“TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8,” a network rep said in a statement. “By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.”

The kids are getting too old to milk the cute factor now. Besides, they are in school all day and the series has had them do almost every activity possible and visit most places that would be possible and of interest. It is time for the show to end. though I would like to see what the kids look like as they grow older and how their interests develop.

  Yeah, they couldn’t sustain the cute factor forever. It’s time for the kids to lead normal lives, although it would be interesting to see how they’ve changed in ten years. Regardless, I worry their parents will have trouble struggling them financially. Say what you want about Jon and Kate, but the kids deserve to be taken care of. Hopefully that won’t be a problem.

    No problem, she’s receiving $22K/month for child support. She should have more than enough to send all the children to Harvard.
