Don’t let her first name fool you. According to fellow “Mad Men” cast member John Slattery, actress January Jones is “a sweetheart” and nothing like her chilly, on-screen character Betty Draper.

In a recent interview with E!, Slattery spoke highly of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota native, who announced her pregnancy in April.

“[S]he’s a sweetheart,” Slattery told E! of Jones, adding that the 33-year-old is no diva. “We got lucky.”

With a baby on the way, Jones could get away with high maintenance demands, but the television star keeps it real. Scroll through our slideshow below for pictures of the down-to-earth blonde and future mom.

  • Fittingly, January Jones was born on January 5, 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her dad was a coach and gym teacher.
  • Growing up in a town of 400, Jones worked the humble job of a Dairy Queen counter girl after school.
  • Jones and former boyfriend Jason Sudeikis at the AMC After Party for the 62nd Annual EMMY Awards at Soho House on August 29, 2010. The couple split in January, just months before media outlets broke the news of Jones's pregnancy.
  • "The Hangover" comedian Zach Galifianakis shouldn't look so bored next to Jones!
  • Jones at the "GQ, Nautica, and Oceana World Oceans Day Party" at Sunset Tower on June 8, 2010 in southern California. In 2009, Jones told Vanity Fair that she had joined environmental advocacy organization Oceana to help save sharks from extinction and exploitation.
  • Last year, Jones scored an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her role as Betty Draper in "Mad Men."
  • Upon graduating from high school, Jones left her teeny tiny South Dakota hometown for New York City to pursue modeling.
  • Jones is a former Abercrombie & Fitch model.
  • Jones had a part in that awful 2003 comedy, "Anger Management."
  • Jones had a minor appearance in that overrated 2003 romantic comedy, "Love Actually." You know, the one with too many characters? Luckily, she improved the dizzying plot line with her presence!
  • Actress or angel?
  • Jones had a small role in the 2003 comedy "American Wedding," the third film in the "American Pie" series.
  • Jones did a photo shoot with GQ in 2009.
  • There's a certain je ne sais qoui to Jones. You can't help but like her!
