Barred from yet another Republican presidential debate for failing to meet the qualifications, the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Buddy Roemer sent out an email criticizing his GOP rivals and calling ‘bullshit’ on the rules that will keep him off stage.

The September 7 debate, hosted by NBC, Politico, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, has strict eligibility requirements. Among other things, participating candidate must have “registered at least four percent (4%) support as the preferred nominee among Republicans in a methodologically sound and recognized national poll conducted by one of the following survey organizations since the November 2010 elections: Gallup, Bloomberg, NBC/WSJ, ABC/Washington Post, CBS/The New York Times, CNN, FOX and Associated Press,” according to Politico.

Roemer does not meet this criterion. He is often not included in polling of the Republican primary field, and when he is, he rarely receives more than one percent of the vote.

In an email with the subject line “Bullshit Rules!” Roemer campaign manager Carlos Sierra blasted the political system, the other candidates, and the media for perpetrating what he calls an injustice.

The full text of Sierra’s email is below:

Once again, due to arbitrary, or as I call them, bullshit rules, Governor Roemer will be left out of the September 7th debate hosted by Politico and NBC News. It’s a sad day in our country when a former Congressman, Governor, and current successful businessman is not invited to be on-stage to discuss the corrupting influences of money in politics and the continued demise of our economy.

It’s laughable and disappointing that there will be someone on stage whose ignorant mind compared homosexuality to bestiality; the Godfather of Obamacare will also be allowed to defend his unconstitutional law; there will be a former pizza chain executive who discriminates against the Muslim faith; and there will be someone on stage who thinks it’s more important to vacation in Hawaii than to campaign for the most important office of the free world. I don’t know about you, but I’m truly disgusted by our system right now.

There is a candidate in this race who has the courage and intelligence to fight for what is right. He will never bow down to China like our current President does, or to the OPEC thugs that pray we will always depend on their oil. We finally have a candidate who doesn’t care about the money and the corruption it causes. Buddy Roemer will always put America first!

Again, it’s sad day when a former Governor, a former Congressman and a successful businessman is left off the stage. NBC News, FOX News, Politico, and the rest of the corporate-owned media are essentially choosing our nominee for us. What happened to the voters deciding instead of corporate fat cats behind smoke-filled rooms?

Roemer is somewhat of a whack job.  I can’t figure the upside for this waste of time campaign.

I disagree that these rules are BS. Now, if Roemer has proof that polls are being manipulated, I’d like to see it. But these are as close to objective rules as we can have.

That said, there’s a reason why he isn’t viable!

Buddy, they’re just scared to have you on! Once you get on them you would debate circles around those ‘clowns’! Keep trying! You deserve to be on that debate and all the others!

Roemer is the ONLY candidate who will speak to issues raised by NBC’s Dylan Ratigan in his famous “rant” — he SHOULD BE THERE. All others? Same ‘ol pap.

Maybe he should be less ambiguous?
