Last week Bristol Palin was the victim of verbal abuse by a 47-year-old heckler who called her “white trash” and her mother Sarah Palin a “whore.”

During a trip to the Saddle Ranch Chop House on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, the 20-year-old rode a jerky mechanical bull for several minutes before falling to the floor. Before Bristol got to her feet, Stephen Hanks, as identified by TMZ, yelled, “Did you ride Levi [Johnston] like that? Your mother’s a whore.”

As Bristol walked over to the man, Hanks was videotaped saying, “Her mother is a fucking whore, she’s the devil.”

When Bristol got in his face, Hanks repeated, “Your mother [is] the fucking devil.”

“What did she do wrong?” Bristol asked.

“She lives, she breathes,” he replied. “If there was a hell … she gonna be there.”

The “Dancing with the Stars” finalist went on to ask Hanks if he dislikes the former Alaska governor because he’s gay.

“Pretty much,” the man said, perhaps sarcastically. “And why did you say I’m a homosexual?”

“Because I can tell you are. That’s your boyfriend and that’s why you don’t like my mom,” Bristol said.

When a young woman approached Hanks and told him to leave Bristol alone, he used the classic kindergarten “she started it” response.

She came up to me,” Hanks said of Bristol.

After Hanks said Bristol and mom Sarah “don’t look anything like women,” he called Bristol “white trash” and a “fucking bitch.”

Hanks caught up with TMZ afterward and explained that he wasn’t a fan of the Palin family.

“It kind of felt good to get off my chest,” Hanks said.

When Hanks said he did something similar to presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich in New York City, an onlooker pointed out that Gingrich is a grown man whereas Bristol is just a 20-year-old girl. According to Hanks, Bristol is no child because she had a baby.

“That’s no excuse,” Hanks said. “[If] you can have a baby, I think you’re an adult … The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in my opinion.”

Hanks also blasted Bristol’s “derogatory” homosexual comment and asserted that she must have come from an intolerant, racist household.

“It just means that she comes from a home … where gays are made fun of, where blacks are probably made fun of,” Hanks said. “She’s a racist homophobe in my opinion.”

After the incident took place, Bristol wrote on her Facebook fan page, “Always amazes me how evil people can be.”
