Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is scheduled to make a pit stop in New York next month to meet with real estate mogul Donald Trump, his campaign said Monday.

“Yes, it’s true. @THEHermanCain will sit down with @realdonaldtrump in NYC on October 3,” Ellen Carmichael, a spokeswoman for Cain, wrote on Twitter.

Many of the top Republicans running for the White House have visited with Trump, who flirted with a bid of his own for president. Trump dined with Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Sept. 14 in new York City. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is scheduled to meet with Trump on Monday afternoon.

In May former Alaska Gov. and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin met with Trump for what media described as a “pizza summit” in a Manhattan pizzeria.
