China blocks Google Android

Google and the Chinese government seem to be at odds once again, as the search’s giant’s Android Market is currently being blocked in mainland China.

Two Web sites that test URLs to see if they’re available in China reveal Google’s mobile-app store as inaccessible. Search results for “market.android.com” at Greatfirewallofchina.org and blockedinchina.net indicate that Android Market is blocked across the major regions of China, including Beijing, Shenzen, Inner Mongolia, the Heilongjiang Province, and the Yunnan Province.
