Anonymous, the politically motivated hacker collective, announced Monday its latest threat against Fox News via YouTube. Fox News maintains it is always keeping top security in mind, and this day is no different.

While Anonymous has issued threats against the news network in the past, the collective claims the most recent attack, called ‘Operation Fox Hunt,’ is in response to what they believe has been unfair coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protestors.

@AnonOps, one of several Twitter accounts belonging to the group, tweeted, “Some corporations have the security level of a 90’s (sic) website. Thanks for making it easy! Expect us the fifth of November.”

The attack day coincides with Guy Fawkes Day — an English holiday that commemorates the execution of English Catholic Guy Fawkes. The mask Anonymous is recognized by was inspired by the Guy Fawkes motif in the graphic novel “V for Vendetta.”

The same hacktivist Twitter account was also one that was contacted by Occupy Wall Street PR Firm, WORKHOUSE, early October.

@AnonOps went on to clarify that they did not mean Facebook when they were referring to corporations’ websites.
