Going on five years now, Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul and his supporters have had one of the most vociferous presences on the Internet, and Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly says he is the latest victim of those supporters.

At the end of his Wednesday night program, “The O’Reilly Factor,” during the email segment, O’Reilly read an email suggesting he was the victim of “an orchestrated campaign” to hurt his book “Killing Lincoln” on Amazon.com.

“Korensa Espinol, Bellflower, California: ‘Bill, there is an orchestrated campaign to hurt “Killing Lincoln” on Amazon.com. Who’s doing that, the Occupiers?’” O’Reilly said.

O’Reilly told viewers there was some “far-left involvement” but said the real culprit were Ron Paul’s supporters and he assured viewers the matter was being handled.

“There’s some far left involvement, but the primary people dishonestly sliming the book are Ron Paul supporters,” O’Reilly said. “Amazon and Congressman Paul are aware of the situation, and I want to thank all of you who have actually read ‘Killing Lincoln’ and posted positive reviews about that. That’s how we fight the dishonesty, you know? That’s how you always fight dishonesty — with honesty.”
