Jimmy Fallon hosted Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann on his “Late Night” NBC talk show Monday. The song that his band selected to greet the GOP presidential candidate as she walked on stage has caused a stir.

The song, “Lyin’ Ass Bitch,” was played as Bachmann waved to the audience. The 1985 Fishbone song was selected by “Questlove” of The Roots, the house band of Fallon’s show.

Fox News’ Todd Starnes described the choice of music as an “incredibly rude welcome.”

Fallon tweeted Tuesday, in apparent recognition of the controversy, “@questlove is grounded.”

Ahead of Bachmann’s appearance on the show, Questlove tweeted, “aight late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title.”

During the show, Bachmann rattled off humorous jabs at her competitors for the GOP nomination, including forgetting the third in a list of three words to describe Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
