The Royal Navy’s men and women aboard the HMS Ocean may have caught Mariah Carey’s attention with their recent Christmas love song, but they aren’t the first to pass the hours and hours and hours — and hours — of military boredom by making hysterical and downright creepy music videos. Here for your enjoyment, and in no particular order, are The Daily Caller’s top five combat-zone morale boosters.

“All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey:

Here’s the classic that just may have inspired the genre, the Brits’ painstakingly choreographed rendition of “Is this the way to Amarillo?”

They may not know the way to Amarillo (and from Al Faw, Iraq, they sure are lost), but at least the Royal Dragoon Guards know how to put on a production.

“Is This the Way to Amarillo?” by Tony Christie:

How do you keep cool in Iraq? Ice. Vanilla Ice. Hopefully Queen doesn’t mind the military police sampling their hit tune in Iraq.

“Ice, Ice, Baby” by Vanilla Ice (allegedly):

There is nothing to describe this hysterical creep fest from the HHC 1-21 in Baghdad but “Wow.” “Wow” and “party goggles.”

Also, “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”

“Ding Dong Song” by Gunther:

And of course, TheDC has to give a shout out to an original gangsta — the Don of Ghaz Main. While he isn’t a coalition soldier, this little big man did his part to boost American morale, accepting candy as payment (and sharing none):

“Tha Shiznit” by Snoop Dogg
