George H.W. Bush called it “The Big Mo.” Now, the Rick Perry campaign is out with a sharp new ad, stressing his growing momentum. The ad features the voice of pundits like Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace (saying there’s plenty of time left), and quotes from pundits like the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza, Larry Sabato and RedState.com, buttressing the argument that Perry is beginning to surge.

“Momentum is building for Governor Perry’s strong Iowa grassroots, retail and broadcast campaign for American jobs, faith and freedom leading up to the January 3rd Iowa caucus,” said a Perry aide. “Perry’s solid outsider and reform message and strong fiscal and social conservative bona fides,  are gaining traction and attention as Republicans are prepare to caucus in the Hawkeye State.”

Sure, it’s “process,” but at this point Perry’s message has to simply be that he can win. In that regard, this ad seems to deliver.
