If you’re reading this, you’re probably not a fan of Alan Colmes.* Not necessarily because you’re a conservative, but because you know who Alan Colmes is.
You might change your mind one day, but today will not be that day. Here he is on FNC, talking to Rich Lowry about Rick Santorum’s surge in the polls:
COLMES: The Republicans have speed-dated every other Republican, and so there’s nobody left except Rick Santorum. But once they get a load of some of the crazy things he’s said and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby who died right after childbirth home and played with it for a couple of hours so his other children would know that the child was real…
And it got even worse from there. Kudos to Lowry for not letting it go unanswered. Note that when Lowry predicted that nobody else in the mainstream media would stoop as low as Colmes just did, Colmes said, “I disagree.” For once, he’s probably right.
Santorum was asked about this exchange yesterday, and it brought him to tears. Colmes says he has apologized, and he says Santorum has accepted. It might even be true.
Isn’t it time for Colmes to fall into Mount Doom already?
