Paul protesters haunting Santorum

SALEM, N.H. – Outside any campaign event in New Hampshire, as much of a fixture as the mass of reporters, is the small crowd of Ron Paul supporters holding signs, waving, and trying to chat up the people who are heading to the event. They’ve been present at almost all of the candidate’s events, but one organizer told TheDC Monday that Rick Santorum has been getting the worst of it.

“I feel a little bad,” said Jon Melendez, an assistant organizer based in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Romney events, he said, are too “exclusive.” They’ve been locking down the events and making it harder for the protesters to get in.

Huntsman’s events, on the other hand, do not bring enough press attention, which is their main goal, Melendez said.
