Romney receives coveted ‘sugar daddy dating site’ endorsement

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has gained an endorsement he likely was not seeking — and one that his wife is unlikely to embrace.

SeekingArrangements.com, the “elite sugar daddy dating site for those seeking mutually beneficial relationships,” endorsed Romney for the GOP presidential nomination based on an act of kindness on the campaign trail that caught the attention of SeekingArrangements’ founder & CEO, Brandon Wade.

That act of kindness happened Saturday, when Romney offered Ruth Williams, a 55-year old unemployed campaign volunteer, the entire contents of his wallet ($50-$60). Romney’s offering to Williams garnered the candidate a big, publicity-seeking thumbs up  (which TheDC gladly obliged because it is, quite frankly, hilarious) from the website, which specializes in pairing “modern sugar daddies” with “goal seeking sugar babies.”

“This small, kind act of reaching into his own wallet to help another human being in need is Sugar Daddy-ism at its best,” Wade said. “When it comes to politics, small actions speak louder than big words. Mitt Romney has shown all other politicians that being a good Sugar Daddy is about helping others.”

Based on the definition provided by the “arrangement” site, “suger daddyism” is a positive thing:

Sugar Daddy-ism (noun): 1. The art, principles and practices of being a sugar daddy. 2. A lifestyle, that is based on building win-win or mutually beneficial relationships. 3. The passion for empowering others as a sponsor, benefactor or mentor.

According to Wade, sugar daddies have had a bad rap and he is hopeful that their Romney endorsement will help improve that image.

“Since sugar daddies are often powerful and wealthy men, many politicians end up being sugar daddies,” Wade said. “While the media likes sensational stories about sugar daddy politicians behaving badly, I hope our endorsement of Mitt Romney for the GOP Presidential nomination will shed positive light on what being a good sugar daddy should be about.”

Romney has been married to his wife Ann Romney for over 40 years.
