With the South Carolina Republican primary in the books and a three-way split decision among the trio of early statewide contests so far, it’s time for candidates and the media to reflect on what went well — and what went wrong.

Rep. Mick Mulvaney, a Republican from South Carolina, weighed in during an interview with The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas.

“The national media misses a lot when it comes to South Carolina politics, but also this specific presidential election as well,” Mulvaney said. “I think one of the things they missed was how fluid the race was. I think as late as a week before the election, 40 percent of the folks were undecided.”
