It sounds like the premise of a country music song: drunk man hangs out in a church parking lot with an open bottle of wine the night of the Super Bowl.
But these are actually the events that led to country crooner Randy Travis’s arrest at around 1:30 a.m. on Monday in Sanger, Texas, the Associated Press reported.
Travis was taken to Denton County Jail, and released about six hours later. He has since apologized for his behavior, saying he is “committed to being responsible and accountable.”
