Modeling revealing lingerie in front of millions of people is not the Christian way, according to former Victoria’s Secret model Kylie Bisutti.

The tall brunette said that when she was chosen as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2009, it was all she ever dreamed of (and what plenty of guys dreamed of, too.)

But as she studied the Bible more, Bisutti said her Christian faith made her question her career decision.

“My body should only be for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing,” said Bisutti told FOX411’s Pop Tarts. “I didn’t really want to be that kind of role model for younger girls because I had a lot of younger Christian girls that were looking up to me and then thinking that it was okay for them to walk around and show their bodies in lingerie to guys.”

Although Bisutti gave up modeling in her undies, she hasn’t given up a career in entertainment entirely. She is featured along with Jennifer Lopez in a Kohl’s commercial, and is working on a new show for the CW.

Now, Bisutti says, her priority is to be a role model for young women.

“I just want them to see me as somebody that they can look up to and somebody that’s going to be dressing appropriately,” she said, “and I’m not going to get into things that I wouldn’t want them to be getting into.”
