On this weekend’s broadcast of “Saturday Night Live,” the “Weekend Update” segment of the show took aim at Huffington Post editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington.

Nasim Pedrad played the role of Huffington during Seth Meyers’ segment, taking on women’s issues, gay marriage, contraception, JFK’s affairs and the Republican presidential race.

On Proposition 8 being overturned in California:

“Prop 8 was overturned in California,” Pedrad’s Huffington said. “Washington state is going to allow gay marriage, and ‘Smash’ premiered on NBC, which is like ten gay weddings in one hour. It’s completely coconut. You know The New York Times has great coverage of this, Seth, and you can read all of it on the Huffington Post because we copied it and we pasted it.”

On Rick Santorum’s statement about the emotional capabilities of being in combat:

“If Rick Santorum doesn’t like men worrying about women, then he should quit the race and endorse Newt Gingrich,” she said. “When Newt sees a woman’s life in danger, he abandons her as fast as his fat feet can carry him.”
