Former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain will not be lacing up his dancing shoes anytime soon.

The Godfather’s Pizza founder was approached by ABC to be a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” the reality competition show which pairs “stars” with professional dancers.

Cain quickly jitterbugged back from the offer.

“He can’t dance in an eight-count. He can only dance in a nine-count,” Lisa Reichert, Cain’s executive assistant told the Atlanta Journal Courier in a nod to Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan.

Former “Dancing” contestants include Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin, and The Daily Caller’s own co-founder, Tucker Carlson.
