Tiger Woods can’t sidestep Hank Haney book excerpts

Tiger Woods tried to say as little as possible about the excerpts from former coach Hank Haney’s book that hit the Internet this week. Not that it completely prevented a few sparks from flying.

A testy exchange ensued Wednesday when a reporter pressed him for confirmation or denial of Haney’s claim that Woods considered walking away from the game to pursue becoming a Navy SEAL.

“I’ve already commented on everything,” he said, referring to statements six weeks ago that called Haney’s publication of “The Big Miss” unprofessional.
