The Kardashians are in the news again, but this time no one got married, divorced or questioned about their genes — this time the Kardashian sisters are being sued for false advertisements about QuickTrim.

QuickTrim was sold as a pills-and-shakes combination weight loss supplement, with the three famous ladies as its  spokeswomen.

TMZ reported that a group of people in New York say that there is no way the product could have helped Kim, Khloe and Kourtney lose weight because the main ingredient is caffeine, and now they’re suing them for $5 million dollars.

The Food and Drug Administration does not approve dietary supplements but, the lawsuit says, “The FDA has determined [caffeine] is not a safe or effective treatment for weight control.”

Though the reality stars aren’t the creators of the product, endorsing it and saying they lost weight with it was, according to the lawsuit, feeding people lies through commercials, magazines and social media since 2009.

Had they known the truth, the plaintiffs say they never would have bought the product.

The Kardashians, QuickTrim and the companies that sold the product are being sued for damages.
