Urban Meyer apologizes after gay group objects to lavender jerseys

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer had a plan to punish players that were not giving full effort. They were to wear lavender shirts.

But the team has changed its mind after a letter from the Scarlet and Gay, an Ohio State alumni society which objected to the color which is linked to gays and lesbians.

According to The Lantern, Ohio State’s student newspaper, Meyer wrote a letter of apology to the organization.
