The Muppets are being accused by Courtney Love of “raping” Kurt Cobain after their version of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” was featured in the 2011 movie, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Love said neither Disney nor the Muppets’ studio had the rights to use the Nirvana song and “raped the memory” of her ex-husband.

She claims to have absolute control of Cobain’s catalog, The Huffington Post reports, but that doesn’t necessarily hold true.

In 2005 Love sold 25 percent of Nirvana’s catalog rights to Primary Wave Music, along with the distribution rights to the catalog.

If that wasn’t enough, former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, who was in the movie, and bassist Krist Novoselic approved of the song’s appearance in the film.
