Politico’s hard-hitting interview with David Brock

Font Size:

Here at the Daily Caller, we’re proud of our coverage of David Brock and Media Matters. But now Patrick Gavin at Politico has really raised the bar. He’s showing us how journalism is done. Here’s a sampling from his scathing, take-no-prisoners interview with Brock:

Tell us your favorite joke:
I think it might be too risqué for POLITICO, but it involves a certain Fox host and Mediterranean food.

When’s the last time you used profanity?
Is saying Dick Morris’s name profane?

What is your favorite body part (on yourself) and why?
My ears. I think listening is one of my biggest strengths.

What type of products do you never go cheap on for the sake of quality?
Car parts.

Describe a few pet peeves of yours:
People who insist on holding meaningless meetings.

Kudos to Brock for not wilting under such intense questioning. Gavin forgot to ask his favorite color or what kind of tree he’d be, but maybe next time. If he’s even allowed anywhere near Brock after this.

Fortunately for Brock, Gavin’s act of journalistic fearlessness hasn’t hurt the sales of The Fox Effect:

That’s up from #1,895 yesterday. Apparently, the American reading public sympathizes with Brock after Gavin’s onslaught. Look out, Roger Ailes.
