Ashton Kutcher is going to a galaxy far, far away. And if it were up to us, he would stay there.

The actor, who recently split from wife Demi Moore, is buying a round-trip ticket on board Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo — a rocket plane that could blast off into space as early as next year.

“Great news today from our Astronaut Relations team at Virgin Galactic: our 500th future astronaut customer has just signed up! Even better news is that number 500 is Ashton Kutcher,” Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson posted on his blog Monday.

“I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him,” Branson continued. “He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”

SpaceshipTwo will carry six passengers and two pilots. The side of the rocket will be clear so that each passenger has a view of the galaxy. The pricetag of the trip is estimated at $200,000.

If we could, we would pay much more than $200,000 to ensure he never makes another movie or episode of “Punk’d.”
