Magic superstar Dwight Howard called Orlando Magic team owner Rich DeVos to say he will no longer be playing for head coach Steve Van Gundy.

Howard missed his sixth straight game Wednesday due to an ongoing back injury and Van Gundy has said that he is already preparing for Howard to miss the rest of the season and quite possibly the playoffs, according to ESPN.

Earlier this month, in one of the most awkward on-camera interviews in sports history, Van Gundy publicly stated he knew Howard wanted him fired as head coach. When Howard was asked by a reporter if the rumor was true, Superman fired back. Howard is reportedly still upset over the incident.

Howard asked management for a trade in the preseason, but after much consideration he decided to remain with Orlando for the remainder of the season.
