Former Florida Gator basketball star Erving Walker will have to pay for one pricy taco.

In what could be the year’s weakest attempt at theft, Walker ordered a $3 taco from a Gainesville street vendor only to run off without paying.

According to ESPN, Walker was chased on foot and by car. He was later caught and admitted that he stole the taco, saying that he was “just playing around.”

“It was just a silly mistake,” Walker said. “I apologize to everybody. I’m embarrassed about it. That’s not me. I’m just trying to put it behind me and move on.”

After pleading guilty to petty theft, Walker was fined$301 for the incident. He is expected to pay the fine by September 27.

Walker is The University of Florida’s all-time leader in assists with 547 and is fourth in scoring with 1,777 points.
