Turns out the rumor Floyd Mayweather bet $1.8 million on the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night was just that.
The boxer himself denied the claim Tuesday while meeting with media at MGM Grand.
“No,” Mayweather said. “Why they making these lies, these rumors. Somebody text me that. No, it’s not true.”
Mayweather had been rumored to have spread $1.8 million in bets across seven different sports books in town.
