Move over, President Obama: There’s a new Democratic darling in Hollywood.

Elizabeth Warren, the challenger to Republican Sen. Scott Brown’s in Massachusetts, will be feted by some of Tinseltown’s top talent later this month, the Hollywood Reporter writes.

Famous Bay Staters Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are throwing their star power behind the candidate, and will co-host a fundraiser in Santa Monica on May 21, along with “The Office’s” Jon Krasinski and “Lost” creator J.J. Abrams.

Donations to the “A Massachusetts Evening” fundraiser range from $1,000 to $5,000; the event is Warren’s third Hollywood fundraiser since she announced her Senate run last September.

Democrats from across the country helping to fund Warren’s campaign to symbolically reclaim Sen. Ted Kennedy’s former seat — and keep the a Democratic majority in the Senate.

Other Hollywood types who have donated to the Harvard law professor’s campaign include Barbra Streisand, Will Ferrell, Ron Howard, George Soros and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Warren recently came under fire for failing to explain why she formerly claimed to be a Native American minority, a claim she made in professional law school directories during the 1980s and ’90s.
