Bank of America came under fire for expressing desire to terminate their relationship with McMillan Firearms.

The Daily Caller has obtained a letter from Bank of America to Lawrence Keane, General Counsel of the National Shooting Sports Foundation regarding the bank’s relationship with firearm manufacturers in general.

Bank of America cannot discuss a specific account due to privacy reasons but Anne G. Pace, writing on behalf of Bank of America, states “I want to assure you and your organization that we do not have a policy that would deny banking services to entities because they are in the firearms industry.”

Pace goes on to write “We honor the rights and freedoms provided for in the U.S. Constitution and its amendments, including the Second Amendment.”

Further investigation has shown that Bank of America is the credit card provider for Bass Pro Shops, a national firearms retailer.
