On this weekend’s cold open of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” Jason Sudeikis as Vice President Joe Biden and Will Ferrell as President George W. Bush came together to commiserate about being outshined, in Biden’s case by President Barack Obama and in Bush’s case by “President” Dick Cheney.
Sudeikis’ Biden complains to Obama, played by Fred Armisen, about not being able to attend a gala with Lady Gaga and Elton John, despite having been the first one to come out publicly for same-sex marriage.
Upon Obama’s departure, Sudeikis’ Biden is joined by Ferrell’s Bush, who is apparently still at the White House after chasing a butterfly around on his last day in office.
