Scott Walker used ‘Forward’ slogan before Obama

As you know, Obama’s campaign slogan is “Forward,” a line that has a long history (including a close resemblance to MSNBC’s “Lean Forward” theme.)

Interestingly, though, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker started using that same message back in January.

It’s catching on. In recent days, Walker’s opponent Tom Barrett has begun co-opting the message.

Last week, I argued that Walker’s success in Wisconsin — including the 35,000, or so, jobs added since he took office — could ironically help Barack Obama in November.

If Obama is bold enough to co-opt Walker’s slogan, after all, why not his jobs numbers?

Update: Several Tweeters note “Forward” is also the official motto of Wisconsin.
