Sheryl Crow assures fans her brain tumor is non-cancerous

Following the announcement that she has a benign brain tumor, an exceedingly upbeat Sheryl Crow has taken to Facebook to address the state of her health.

“Hey everyone,” the Grammy winner, 50, has posted, “please don’t worry about my ‘brain tumor,’ it’s a non-cancerous growth. I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I’m OK.”

Crow, who successfully battled breast cancer in 2006, has a meningioma, a tumor that is typically benign and develops from the brain and spinal cord linings. It should not require surgery.
