If you have not yet seen “Prometheus” but plan on it, please note that there are SPOILERS AHEAD, so do not go blaming us if you keep on reading and the movie is subsequently ruined for you.

It turns out that showing a woman performing an emergency cesarean section on herself to rid her body of an extraterrestrial is pretty gross.

It is so gross, in fact, that a 15-year-old Australian moviegoer suffered a seizure during a screening of the gory science fiction film Sunday, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus,” in the vein of his 1979 classic “Alien,” was given an R-rating in the United States, meaning that those 17 and under must have a guardian present. In Australia, the movie received an M-rating, which means anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian.

The scene involves Noomi Rapace’s character, Elizabeth, giving herself emergency surgery in space to remove an alien from her womb. Gross, right?

The teenage boy passed out during the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was in stable condition as of Sunday night.

“Prometheus” also stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce.
