Aspiring singers in Saudi Arabia: you may be out of luck.

The Saudi city Buraydah adopted a version of the “Arabs Got Talent” television show, but will not permit musical performances or female participation, The Telegraph reports.

Buraydah, in northern Saudi Arabia, is a center of Wahhabism and has strict rules mandating sex segregation. The city does not allow singing, dancing or music.

Male contestants will perform religious chants, recite poetry and compete in sporting events instead of the traditional song and dance routine of other “Got Talent” adaptations.

The “Arabs Got Talent” series has been running on the Dubai-based Saudi television group, MBC, for two consecutive series.
