Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, told WJR Detroit’s Frank Beckmann that she doubts she and her husband would vacation overseas as frequently as the Obamas have, The Hill reported.
In response to a direct question from Beckmann as to whether she and her family would vacation abroad as frequently as the Obamas, she said, “I doubt that. Our vacations and our happiness come from being with our children and grandchildren.”
The Obama family has drawn criticism in the past over their frequent, often lavish, travels around the world, including trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Hawaii, Spain, and Mexico.
