But back to Romney: You have a serious political problem.
You are an outlier on this issue in your own party. You risk widening the gap with Obama among Latino voters — and it already is prohibitive — risking your chances of victory in November.
So what to do?
Here’s my advice:
You have to do something that you know how to do, something that you’ve done before, something in which you have a great deal of experience:
You have to flip-flop and go back to the center on the immigration issue.
Not to worry — no one will be surprised if you do.
