The Pittsburgh Pirates first round pick and possible starting pitcher Gerrit Cole took a line drive to the face Tuesday in a game against the Harrisburg Senators.
Cole finished the inning, but was removed as swelling worsened.
“The CT scan on Gerrit Cole was negative and his only symptom is a contusion on his jaw. He will be available for activity today,” the Pirates tweeted Wednesday.
