In a sign that tea party activists across the country are energized by the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding Obamacare, contributions are flowing.

A spokesman for Tea Party Patriots (TPP) told The Daily Caller on Thursday that the organization saw an immediate spike in donations after the court’s decision was announced.

“The email appeal TPP sent out following the ruling garnered a response rate three times that of their average response rate, and brought in three times as much money as their average appeal,” the spokesman told TheDC.

The email sent by the tea party group on Thursday told supporters that, “The Supreme Court ruled against the American people today.”

“Now, our only hope to save America from government rationing of health care and certain bankruptcy is to force Congress to repeal this horrific law.”

“Will you please make a EMERGENCY contribution,” the email continued, “of  $15, $25, $35, $50, $100, $250 or more to help our campaign to repeal ObamaCare?”
