Hope Solo, the United States’ women’s national goalie, made an amazing save Saturday in a game against Canada, securing an American victory.

The U.S. led 1-0 before halftime at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. Canada forward Christine Sinclair dribbled around three U.S. defenders to take a shot on Solo, which looked like it would slip past the goalie into the net.

Solo managed to deflect the initial shot with her fingertips, only to have Canada’s Kaylyn Kyle follow up with another. Solo, arguably the best goalie in women’s soccer, lunged for the ball and managed to wrap both arms around it right on the line.

Canada scored in the 57th minute, tying the game 1-1, but Amy Rodriguez scored with five minutes left to lead the U.S. to victory over Canada 2-1.
