Major League Soccer has banned David Beckham for one game following “confrontational and provocative behavior,” Reuters reports.

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder was suspended following an June 30 incident in a 4-3 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes. Earthquakes midfielder Sam Cronin was lying on the field with a referee and Galaxy player next to him. Beckham, seemingly impatient to get the game going, kicked a ball from the sideline, hitting Cronin and the referee.

Cronin immediately sat up and stormed toward Beckham, with shoving from both teams ensuing. This is the second setback for the former English national team captain, who did not make the cut for the 2012 London Olympic team in June.
