Mick Jagger’s charisma made him sexually irresistible to provocative singer David Bowie, according to the new book “Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger.”
According to author Christopher Anderson, rumors about the sexual relationship between the rock-and-roll icons are true.
In the book, Anderson reportedly confirms speculation that Angie Bowie caught her husband at the time lying naked in bed with Jagger. She served them orange juice and coffee in bed after the revealing encounter.
The Bowies’ maid reportedly told Angie, who had been out of town for a few days, “Someone is in your bed.” When Angie opened the door, she saw Mick and David sleeping in their birthday suits.
According to Anderson, Angie “felt absolutely dead certain that they’d been screwing. It was so obvious.”
Anderson also writes that a backup singer, Ava Cherry, who lived with the Bowies, “reportedly told a friend that ‘Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other'” and that “[e]ven though I was in bed with them many times, I ended up just watching them have sex,” according to The Daily Mail.
During their prime, Bowie admitted to being “try-sexual” and Mick has a reputation for acting on his animalistic impulses, but neither have confirmed the rumors.
Anderson, writing for the New York Daily News, added that “Leee Black Childers, former executive vice president of MainMan, the management firm that handled Bowie,” was also aware of the relationship.
“Mick looked at David and wondered if maybe this was the wave of the future,” Childers told Anderson. “Mick was very conscious of doing whatever it takes to stay hot; David was the hottest thing around at the time.”
